Shortly after graduating college and entering the "real world," I became interested in Linux clustering, and frustrated by the what appeared to be a lack of central sources of information about this particular subject. Everyone seemed to have their own webpage, but it focused on whatever they were working on. It was very hard for me, being so new to this area, to find helpful websites, where I could find lots of info and links.
After building up a somewhat large list of bookmarks to various sites that I had found useful, or wanted to at least remember, I decided that it might be a good idea to put together a small website devoted to the subject. This was the birth of the Linux Clustering Information Center.
At its height, the LCIC had grown to many hundreds of links to software, documentation, news stories, listings of software updates, and more, and covers most aspects of Linux clustering, including High Performance Clusters, High Availability, and Load Balancing and Sharing. While I don't seem to have time tanymore to actively update it, many people still seem to find it useful, so I have continued to leave it online and available to people. Maybe someday I'll have time to go through and start updating it again.
The LCIC is located at http://lcic.org. If you visit, I hope you enjoy it, and please drop me a note if you have any questions or comments.
