I like to experiment in the kitchen. I don't know if I would consider myself good, but I enjoy playing, and sometimes what I make is edible.
I thought it might be fun to put together some of my favorite recipes here. Some have been stolen from various sources online (with appropriate credit given when due), while others are "Joe Originals," straight from the creative genius that is my brain.
I hope you enjoy these, and if you actually try any of them and enjoy them, let me know.
- Blueberry Hot Pepper Jam: A creation of my friend Susan and I
- Chicken Soup: A fast recipe for soup that tastes like it cooked all day
- Eggplant Parmesan: Yup, another of Joe's experiments
- Jalapeno Poppers: A Joe Original!
- Mango Lassi: Another one from the kitchen of Joe
- Nick's Famous Salsa: The amazing salsa recipe of my friend Nick Coleman
- Oreo Ice Cream Pie: A fun time, making your own ice cream pie.
- Salmon Burgers with Lemon-Dill Sour Cream: My latest creation, a nice change from traditional salmon preparations.
- Scones: This is a copy of a recipe I found on Food Network's website (original link found inside)
- Sorbet: A variety of sorbet recipes I've adapted/concocted
- Sticky Rice with Mango: One of my favorite Thai desserts, I decided to try my hand at it and see what I could come up with. Pretty good.
- Strawberry-Banana Smoothie: My favorite treat when I finish running.
- V's Mom's Lemon Chicken: The lemon chicken recipe from my friend V Hoffman's Mom. Thanks Mrs. Hoffman!
